When I think about this blog I imagine it as a haven of inspiration, wisdom and humor. What it really is is my personal exercise blog that may or may not inspire the three or four of you that read it. I've decided to take the pressure off and just enjoy the process.
"Take the pressure off and just enjoy the process." That should be my motto for 2015.
I signed up to run a Half Marathon in Cleveland on May 17. After talking to my runner friend I've decided to run a 10K. I was going to say "only" a 10K but 6.4 miles a long-ass way so good for me! I don't have the time, dedication nor joint health to make running a Half my job in the next few months. A 10K is a challenging yet healthy goal.
I'm taking a group training class at LCP. I really like the comraderee of a small group and I like challenging myself to be better each class. We also track our food and turn in diaries to a nutritionist for evaluation. It's hard to publicly own up to the sweet treats and multiple glasses of wine that are part of my Chubby Lifestyle but I did it. It'll be interesting to see what their fresh out of college nutritionist has to say about my food log. My first "weigh in" was today, I'm down about 2 lbs. After all the spinning, running and walking my first dedicated week of exercise and food tracking of 2015 you'd think it would be more! One week at a time - and I've committed to 8, just in time for Atlantis! - enjoy the process!
