Yesterday I had kind of an epiphany. I realized that not only do I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands - I probably have it in my feet, ankles and other joints. Then the question is (and I have yet to google the answer) if it is affecting my joints and surrounding tissue, what is it doing to my other body parts? You know, the important ones, like my heart, lungs & brain! I'm wondering if that is why I'm having so much trouble running and getting my intensity up. And why I've been so tired. (PS - yes it is! I looked it up!)
So here we are on the last day of the my Take Up a Notch Sixty 4 Ninety personal exercise challenge. I have not bothered to total up my time spent exercising but I'm guessing it averages to about 45 minutes/day. Not bad really. Challenging myself and keeping a public yet not wildly read blog has kept me exercising and accountable.
I've learned that being healthy includes pushing yourself to "the next level" but also listening to your body (and not my brain who alternates between laziness and being overzealous). Some days are intense, some days you just get the blood flowing.
I have another challenge in mind but I'm going to take a break from blogging and tracking for a week or two. See you then!
