A Little Sweat

Woke up today feeling fairly pumped about exercise.  Then, of course, I read the paper and almost got sucked into sitting at the computer.  Went to Life Center for 30 minutes of cardio.  Considered lifting weights but there were a LOT of people and I just didn't feel like finding 3 square feet of space to do my lame little shoulder exercises.   I'm considering going to a 5:30 a.m. class.  It has been proven that people who exercise first thing in the morning are more consistant about their fitness routine.   There was a time - I call it "the olden days" - when I actually taught early morning aerobic and/or personal training classes.  I'm a morning person.  The 5:30 a.m. class thing could be the perfect "new year new you" catalyst!  We will all find out tomorrow I guess.

As you know, I'm a list maker.  I make lists of the lists I'm going to make.  I have several notebooks for my lists.  I have notebooks for workout lists, grocery lists, blog idea lists, family fun lists, PPC Family Fund lists, vacation idea lists, kid sport lists, and more.  Each notebook is like a container for my life.   Every day I make a list of the stuff I'm going to do that day.  Then I roll the shit I don't do over to the next day's list.  Sometimes shit gets rolled over for weeks til it's not even relevent anymore.  That becomes: shit doesn't happen.   (Ha!)

The kids are all home from school.  They have their own lives and people and interests and strong opinions.  It's so great and sorta scary/sad to not be in control of every part of their lives.   Letting Go definitely doesn't make my personal 'top 25' list of personality traits.

So, we try new things and see how they fit.  Things like clothing styles, contouring make up, long-term relationships and today's adventure:  cartiledge piercing.
