My regular life took time away from my weebly life! Day 14 I actually had to get up, get 30 minutes on the bike, shower, put on deodorant AND make-up AND be out the door by 8:30. This may seem like your regular life but for those of us for whom Dawdling is nearly a profession, 8:30 a.m. is tricky.
It was for a terrific reason though. Went to a Pediatric Palliative Care (PPC) Lunch n Learn at Akron Children's Hospital. The stories they shared, the challenges these families face are both heartbreaking and inspiring. We came away from the luncheon even more motivated to earn funds to help these children and their families.
Two more great things about Day 14: Our little group picture made the Haslinger FB page and their webpage! They also gave us a little shout out for our event September 13, 2014! Exciting!
AND, my snow shoes arrived. Sadie and I tried them out on the bike path. It was perfect!!! Good workout, great weather, and my dog thought I was super fun!
Day 15 was a big cardio day! Ran three miles AND snow shoed for an hour. (Lots and lots of Fitbit steps!) Snow Shoeing is such a great way to enjoy the snow and cold. The sun was shining. The temperature warmed up to 30 degrees! And Becky & Susan were very entertaining. The weather is supposed to warm up to 50 next week. We'll probably all be wearing shorts and t-shirts during that little heat wave. Sadly, the snow will melt and there goes our snow shoe fun! I guess we could just plain walk for social cardio. Also excellent!
Day 16 started out very early as Dave & Jordan headed to the airport for the Las Vegas Tournament. The two of them traveling together is a twirl fest. They are gonna get where they need to be (probably) but it's not gonna be a straight path. (Haha! Love you!)
Got a workout, massage, ran errands, and have successfully avoided cleaning my house for as long as I can.
