I'm frustrated with myself. I've exercised all but 5 days in the last 43. That's terrific! But I've slacked in the last couple (three!) weeks. No real changes. Just going for a minimum of 30 minutes. Not striving for more. Enjoying the status quo. Well, that just won't do! Never be satisfied! (This is another Core Values vs Core Goals conflict I think.) It is too easy to glide along in the same routine. It is time to shake up the snow-globe that is currently Ohio!
I recognize that I'm never gonna be a body builder or a triathlete. Training that hard is wwwaaaaayyyy off my Core Values (eating, drinking, sitting around). But I saw a woman at the gym with fan-freaking-tastic biceps. I want that! I can do that! Oh sure, I can't raise my left arm higher than parallel to the floor or take my clothes off over my head - but I'm not gonna let a little bursitis stop my quest for great arms. Upping my cardio, picking up a weight or two and boxing ... starting tomorrow ... right after the icy snowstorm that was yesterday melts away to mud.
Day 43 - Check!
