Day 57

It's weird to me how I can sweat, huff, puff, and move for an hour at Boxing and still only have 5000 Fitbit steps.  It doesn't seem fair.  The only "person" who likes this is Sadie cuz (in theory) she benefits from the remainder of the steps I need to take to keep up with my Fitbit Friends - who are soooo kicking my a-- in steps!

Been shopping for The Cruise.  It seems I only like black and white clothing.  I like royal blue too but I'd feel like a five year old making that the signature color of my wardrobe.  For the formal night I found this off-one-shoulder black velvet dress (on sale!) at Dillards.  It's flattering and forgiving and I love it.  Found some 6" black velvet shoes at Macys (on sale!).  They KILL my feet but look amazing with the dress.  I figure I can wear them for about two hours before they hobble me.  The semi-formal evening is off ship and has a "Great Gatsby" flair.  Why?  I have no idea.  Here's the thing:  I HATE of costume parties.  And the idea of dragging a an elaborate get-up and accessories half way around the world and back is even less appealing.  The thing I HATE more than costume parties is being a PARTY POOPER!  (Miss a party?  No way!)  So I just found a little (black! they didn't have red in my size) dress that has short fringes around it.   Pseudo Roaring 20's.  Funny thing about the fringe detail - good camouflage!  Some pearls, long black gloves and a tiara (which, I just happen to have - thank-you Kathy & Sue!) and I'm good to go!  What Dave is going to wear is still a mystery and not really a worry.  Men sort of have a uniform don't they?  Though, who am I to talk with my Garanimal black and white closet full of clothes.

We have some amazing tours scheduled but what am I thinking about?  My clothes!  Shallow perhaps. Prepared definitely.
