Day 65

RAIN!  In the interest of being weather-flexible, I went for a walk.  Would like to say I went for a Power Walk but my gimpy-intestinally-challenged dog was involved so it was just a walk.   I thought about going to the gym instead but my poofy hair from yesterday would have required a lot of attention before I could be seen in public so I slapped on a hat, buckled up the dog and out we went.

WORMS!  The driveway and road were covered in worms.  The air was saturated with worm-smell.   I was very careful where I stepped today!  The worst part of worms (though worm-smell is pretty gross!) is the half-dead/half-wiggly worms that linger for a week.   Nature can be so disgusting.

FOG!   Three big, dark figures came toward Sadie and I out of the fog.  First, I scream a little in my head.  Next, I glance around to see where I could run to safety if I have to.  Then I toughen up and keep walking.  I operate under the theory that if I'm super nice to scary people they won't rape and kill me.    As it turns out, the National Guard was doing a training exercise.  Four runners had to run whatever distance in 16 minutes.  Three uniforms, four wet runners, one American-made mini-van.  Occasionally there are Hum-vees and lots and lots of uniforms and runners.
