Opened my big mouth and now have a few more followers. (HI LANA!!!). And most likely more ridicule. (HI RUSS!!!)
Good to be accountable - now if I was more interesting! Well, I'm actually interesting, I just choose not to write about certain events ... Dancing and bull riding come to mind. And no, not at the same time.
Dave and Kendall are in DC at the Gaylord. I hate that place. The whole National Harbor area is built on a sewer. It stinks. The Gaylord Hotel is like a big beautiful woman with hideous gas.
The Philadelphia Convention Center is an old train station. Very cool. When we arrived at the Marriott hotel, their computer system had been down for hours. Funny thing about technology: No computer = no keys!!! People were cued around the lobby waiting to check in. The hotel called in all available staff and handed out free beer to the guests even after the computers were working and everyone had their rooms. I think even the maintenance staff was dressed up and helping out. It was a colossal mess but the hotel handled it well. It was kinda funny to hear people in line complaining. "I'm a Marriott Gold member! This is unacceptable!" Lady! No one gives a sh-- what color your membership is. No computer, no reservation, no keys! Just wait your turn like everyone else. Have a beer and shut the front door!
People and entitlement - don't get me started!
