Kendall's Team at NEQ D.C. They are still waiting for a bid to Nationals. Hopefully something will trickle down through the OVR. A team this cool really should be at Nationals!
Had a little Fitbit incident over the weekend. Yadayadayada, lost it, found it, broke it. Bought a replacement yesterday so I'm back to tracking steps! Felt kinda naked without it. I probably only stepped 8,000 steps without it but since it didn't track, it doesn't count, and I've fallen to third place amongst the steppers, which totally bugs me!
Day 82 I got a root canal. I closed my eyes so I didn't have to look but I'm pretty sure novocaine needles are an inch long. Fortunately for me my doctor of torture has participated in a leading edge study that is pioneering a technique to help numb the lower teeth which, up til now, has been difficult because the nerves all connect in your jaw. This new technique involves shooting novocaine directly into the tooth and holding the needle there for like 30 minutes (or 5 seconds, I'm not sure, I was screaming in my head). After they extract the needle, there is a rush of "medicine" through your body that feels sorta like a heart attack. Or as my doctor described it, "like you just worked out". nuh huh!!!!! When it was all over they congratulated me for being a good patient, gave me a prescription for vicodin, and let me pay them a check with lots of numbers on it.

Day 83 I ran down the path and back. Good times! I quick showered so I could get to the dentist so she could put new permanent caps on my now root-less teeth. As I left, they wished me safe travels and let me write them a check with even more numbers on it. I have now spent all my vacation money on my teeth. In order to get my monies worth I think I'm gonna laugh a lot and throw my head back with my mouth wide open so everyone can glimpse my gleaming white dental work. Good times!
Day 81 - Half Check
Day 82 - No Check (but points for bravery)
