Well yesterday, while somewhat sedentary, was terrific! My conclusion regarding my GOAL vs VALUE dilemma is to have more MOVE days than SIT days. I can compromise!
So, I moved at the gym. Ran several miles (well, I ran 2.5 and walked .5 - don't want anyone to be too impressed with me!) And here I am again, at the computer ... sitting. I'm comfortable.
I have a list of 2018 goals in one of my many notebooks that contain my lists. I plagiarized this list from someone probably on Facebook, but it's a good list so I'll share it.
* Become the Best Version of Myself
I know: what the hell does that mean!?! It's a little "yippy skippy". But on the other hand, it's like Tom Brady. He's always in competition with himself to be Better. He seems to be doing A-OK, so what the heck! Let's all give it a try!
* Cook at Home
This I don't really mind. The challenge is not repeating the same meals over and over and over and over.
* Meatless One Day
This I don't mind either. After my Vegan phase, meatless is really easy - and delicious.
* Mindful Eating
This I do not do well. I'm a bit of a vacuum when it comes to food. (aka: I inhale my food.) I've been trying to enjoy my meals more, you know: think about each bite - but that lasts about 3 minutes and then poof! I've finished. I can definitely become a Better Version of my eating self!
* Drink More Water
'Nuff sed. Just good f-ing advice any day of the week.
I added to this list of goals.
* Blog
Ya know, so I can chronicle my interesting life for the four of you I know and the two strangers out there who follow this blog.
* Fitness Every Day
I figure with all that meal planning and eating - I really should exercise too.
* Track Goals
See now, this requires a new notebook (got it - thanks Jord!) and a little dedication to the goal planning and introspection in said notebook. Better Version here I come!
* M-O-V-E
I obviously added this after yesterdays' foray into sedetation - that's a new word that I'm adding to Tracey's version of Websters' - it's a cooler way to say sit on your ass all day.
Well, there's your advice for the day. My i-watch suggests I stand up and move for 5 minutes. (Ugh! Damn that nagging little piece of plastic!)
Have a Fan-Freaking-Tastic Day My Friends!
