I'm doing minor home upkeep. (Well, I'M not doing it - I am calling people with skills!) Had the washer, dryer, fridge and freezer serviced. Working A-OK! Just had my dryer vent unclogged so the house wouldn't burn down. Feeling good about that. The girls shower had a tiny leak. Naturally replaced all the faucets and light fixture at the same time the leak was fixed. The garage door was wobbly. Thought someone would come out, make an adjustment or two and "everything would be everything"! (That's a line from 'An Innocent Man' with Tom Selleck in case you missed the 90's.) The new door will be installed this Friday. Really didn't want to pay for a new door right now but not having the metal garage door fall on my newly buffed mini-van (or my head) motivated my purchase.
Getting close to painting my master bath and Short-Stuff's bedroom. By that I mean we bought five samples of (grey-ish) paint then painted all five shades in two sets of 8x12 sections on our walls so see which paint is perfect. I think we both have decided. Now we just have to find the time to paint - and the will. I have to be in the mood to paint. I have been known to live with swatches of varying shades of paint on my walls for months. Whenever I walk in the room I think, "Ooooh, that's going to look so good! I still really like that color! I should paint this room!" Then I walk out of the room and forget all about it. It's a skill I have.
My OCD Baby has not developed selective sight. She's relentless. "When do you think we will paint my room? Do you think we will have time to paint my room this weekend? All those colors on my wall bug me. What are we doing for Thanksgiving? Can we paint my room then?" I've birthed a slave driver! Her room will be painted very soon.
